Eliminate That Fear

Jeremiah 1:4-8

The Word of the Lord came to me:

I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

But I protested “Oh no, Lord, God! Look, I don’t know how to speak since I am only a youth.” Then the Lord said to me:

Do not say, “I am only a youth,” for you will go to everyone I send you to and speak whatever I tell you. Do not be afraid of anyone, for I will be with you to deliver you.

Often time I forget that God chose me so I sit and I compare myself to people and live out of this fear that I am not god enough, strong enough, or even smart enough. But God reminds me that He chose me, knowing all that I would be, even before He created me in my mother’s womb. He didn’t create me to be comparable to anyone but to be set apart with His seal on me to show the world that I am His vessel. That I am His blueprint of praise and nothing should be comparable to that

These are the truths and what will happen is that the enemy will also know this truth but will work overtime to keep the word of God far from your mind and your heart. He will stir up the fears in you and tell you all the things you cannot do. Tell you that you aren’t worth it and that God is lying. But do not forget that Satan is the father of lies himself and our Heavenly Father is not a man that He should lie. So please do not be afraid, take hold of the truths of God and remember that He has already chosen you even before you knew what is was to breathe or live in this life of sin.

And as a young believer myself when God was telling me to go and write this book that I just finished or speak to people, I get scared and think “No God, I am too young. People don’t want to hear from me. What experience do I have?”  And then another scripture comes up:

1 Timothy 4:12 -16

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in speech, in love, in conduct, in spirit, in faith and in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”

And I remember that no matter how old or young God can and will use us. If He is telling us to do something, it is because He knows and believes that we can do and if you feel that fear and the devil telling you that you can’t remember this: Satan’s plan is to kill and destroy every plan that God has, so if he is coming for you, it is because he sees the powerful work that God has for you to do. So let that fear motivate you and ask God for strength to be obedient to Him and not let fear control you.

When God has sent you and put you in a position to give Him glory and to be a witness for Him, no fear shall be in you because God is fearless! And that boldness and strength and confidence from the Holy Spirit is already within you. So summon that power that has been gifted to you by grace and march out into this world, armed with your spiritual armor and fight the good fight!
